OK, that’s getting shut off. Thank you, Delicious, for clogging up my blog with a bunch of unreadable crap. ![]()

I Geek Out on Weekends
Saturday, April 28th, 2007A while back, after complaining about what a pain in the ass it is to keep track of all the different blogs and blog-like things I post in, someone turned me on to Planet, a blog aggregator that takes all those scattered places and summarizes them all in one neat little page.
After playing around with it a bit, I’m pretty happy with what I’ve been able to do with it at Planet Adonis so far. I type something here, it shows up over there. I enter something in my MySpace blog or Last.fm journal, there it is. I’ve got it pulling from a couple other places, too, and I’ll probably add more as I remember all the places I’m constantly dumping stuff.
I feel so geeky right now I could just snort.

Moving Day
Friday, April 27th, 2007The shuffling of this place to http://blog.adonis.net has begun. And almost ended, actually. That was easier than I thought it was going to be.

One Door Closes and Another Opens
Wednesday, April 25th, 2007I mentioned a while back that I was thinking of shutting this place down to make room for better things. Despite a really good suggestion from Paul (which I may still implement in one form or another), I’ve got a little project that I think may better make use of this chunk of the Internet.
So, as much as I love my theme, and all the people who’ve dropped by here since I started using this site as my journal, I’ll be shifting my rambling over to my LiveJournal page in the near future and starting up a new project here (though it may be a while before it materializes).
My server’s going to miss you guys.
Addendum
After still more thought on the matter, I don’t think I’ll completely wipe this place out; it’ll just be moving to a slightly different URL. I’m thinking something like http://blog.adonis.net, and I may implement some kind of aggragation thing at the same time if I feel industrious.
I promise I won’t change my mind on this again, at least until tomorrow.

More Decisions…
Sunday, March 25th, 2007I’ve been considering tearing this place apart again. As it is, I’m already cross-posting just about everything that goes here to somewhere else (My LiveJournal, for example). I think it’s just become a bit redundant, and I’ve been telling myself for years that some day I’d come up with some really great use for this space.
Not that I have any really great ideas at this point, but I think one is due any time now.

The New Look
Friday, March 9th, 2007After what should have been a routine upgrade, this place broke. I finally traced the problem back to the theme I was using. I had to find a new one that didn’t cause the inner workings of this place to go haywire, thus the facelift.
I’m still deciding if I like it or not, so if it changes again in the near future, you’ve been notified.
Addendum: Back to the old theme — the latest version of it fixes the bug, and everything works again now. Though don’t be surprised if it changes colors… I’m playing with it.

A New Look
Tuesday, October 24th, 2006I liked the old minimalist look of this place, but today I decided it needed a change.
All right, I admit it. I just wanted that picture of the BART boy on the front page, where he belongs. Having to click on the link for my last post to get a look at him was taking too much time.

Return of Adonis
Wednesday, September 13th, 2006There have been several attempts over the years to turn Adonis.net into something. That something has been different things over the years, but the one thing they have in common is that none of them have ever come to be.
Some of the ideas were too big, and I just couldn’t bring them to fruition. Some of them just weren’t inspiring enough to keep my attention long enough to realize. A very large number of those ideas never formed to the point where I knew where to begin.
The current idea is to just do something and see what happens with it. This version of Adonis.net is that something. Welcome to it.
